One of the highlights of my grade 11 year was taking Environmental Studies! I would recommend it to anyone looking to make a difference in our school community. In this class, you get to learn so many new things about the environment and take part in some fun projects like Caring For Our Watersheds and the Do-It Project. This class teaches you a lot of valuable gardening skills like how to grow different vegetables and when it’s best to plant them, as well as valuable knowledge about climate change and what you can do to help. One of the best parts about Environmental Studies is the fact that you have the freedom to further explore topics you’re passionate about and use them to make a difference!

Environmental studies is a great course for learning about what you can do to help our planet. In the class you get to do many hands-on projects that enable you to look into the environmental issues that you are interested in. There’s a lot of room in the class to delve into what you are truly passionate about. As well, this class is so helpful in learning about what you can do about climate change. With a problem this big it’s easy to be overwhelmed but this class gives students the tools to know exactly what they can do to tackle this major issue. In environmental studies no ideas are too big. In this class you get to take a break from your desk and go outside to learn hands on by working in the school garden. This class is super interactive and definitely worth it.
