The Grade 11/12 Electronics class have been hard at work over the past few months creating a programmed “Word Clock”. The clock uses an ATMEGA128 integrated circuit which has been programmed using an Arduino to keep time based on every five minute intervals. Students used the new laser technology in our lab to make an intricate printed circuit board as well as cut their clock designs from plywood. The words are illuminated using 12V LED strips. The end result is pretty cool! Congrats to Kyle Radovanovic for successfully getting his clock working first!
