“When you eat your Smarties do you eat the red ones last?”
This year in marketing we took a look at jingles. We studied the origin and history of how jingles were created. Once you hear a catchy phrase, and start singing the jingle you become the advertiser. You realize how many brands were formed because of these catchy phrases. After we talked about a breakdown of what makes a jingle, we listened to a podcast called Under the Influence with Terry O’Reilly.
Our activity we did in class involved us learning how to tie a tie. Once we mastered one way, we tried different variations. Mrs Gadsby came around and made sure everyone knew how to tie a windsor knot before we began the writing process of creating a jingle.
