November and December have been very busy months for students involved in the choirs at West Kildonan Collegiate. Performance season was in full swing! We began by having Colla Voce sing at the Divisional GSA Gathering. Following that, Colla Voce and the Grade 10 Choir paid tribute to those who have fought for Canada’s freedom by performing at our school’s Remembrance Day Ceremony. ChoralFest was next and involved all six ensembles at West K. We had wonderfully informative adjudications filled with great music making moments. On Wednesday, December 6, all the singers gathered together for our Winter Warm-Up Choir Concert. It was a great opportunity to sing for our own community. Students finished the performance by joining the audience in singing “Auld Lang Syne”. It is a wondeful moment when we get to sing together!
