On November 30 West K Band and Jazz Band Students “banded together” to present their premier concert of the 2017 – 2018 school year! Highlights of the evening included the featuring of multiple soloists by the jazz bands, a live recording session of the Grade 9 Band playing “O Canada” to be used for school day opening exercises, the Grade 10 Band performing a medley of Big Band music, and the Senior Band performing the iconic and musically challening holiday classic, “Sleigh Ride”. Congratulations to all Band Students on this wonderful kick-off to what is going to be an amazing year of music making!
